Raquel is a dedicated environmental professional with over five years of hands-on field experience, specializing in scientific research, project management, and environmental outreach. Since joining MSA in November 2023, she has quickly become a vital asset to the team, providing expert support in environmental permitting, reporting, and mitigation for local, state, and federal agency requirements. As a member of MSA’s scientific diving team, Raquel plays a key role in conducting surveys to delineate, monitor, and transplant submerged aquatic vegetation, contributing to critical habitat restoration efforts. Before joining MSA, Raquel served as a Research Manager at the Hawaii Pacific University Center for Marine Debris Research, where she led groundbreaking projects focused on the removal and study of marine plastic pollution across the Hawaiian Archipelago.
